I Don't Just Market Contractor Businesses. I Understand Them From the Inside Out.

Most marketers understand marketing. I understand marketing, sales, operations, and what’s actually on the line when a contractor bets on growth. That combination is rare. And it’s exactly why the contractors I work with trust me at a different level.

Where It Started

I Was Built by Hard Work Before I Ever Knew What Business Was.

My family moved from the Dominican Republic to the United States when I was eight years old. We had nothing. No money. No English. No safety net.

What we had was my father. And watching him show up every single day, without excuses, without shortcuts, taught me the principles I still operate by:

Show up early. Outwork everyone. Don’t cut corners. Do the right thing when no one is watching.

Those weren’t lessons from a classroom. They were lived. And they became the standard I hold myself and my team to every single day.

I Learned Business From The Ground Up

I've Worked at Every Level. That's Not an Accident.

I started working at 16. From McDonald’s to AT&T, where I became a top sales rep. From there I moved into managing over $5 million per year in purchase orders at TOTO, a global manufacturing brand, selling high-end products across major commercial projects.

In between, I worked in the field as a subcontractor, installing cable, internet, and TV for companies like Charter, Comcast, and DirecTV.

I’ve been in sales. I’ve been in operations. I’ve been in the field. I’ve managed large accounts and high-stakes relationships.

That experience didn’t just build my resume. It built the way I think. The way I operate. The standard I hold for myself and everyone on my team.

Entering The Contractor World

In 2019, I Started Nelly IS Marketing. What Came Next Changed Everything.

I launched Nelly IS Marketing focused on one thing: building performance marketing systems that actually move the needle.

I didn’t walk in claiming to know the contractor world. I learned it by being inside it. Business by business. Market by market. Trade by trade.

Over time, working alongside hundreds of contractors across the country, I built something no course or certification can teach: deep pattern recognition across 500+ real businesses. I learned how contractor sales processes actually work. How leads get handled. How jobs get closed. Where the breakdowns happen between marketing and revenue.

And I kept seeing the same problem everywhere: the phone rings some months and doesn’t others. Unpredictable lead flow makes everything harder: hiring, planning, cash, and growth. It was the single most common constraint holding good contractors back.

The more I understood their world, the better the systems I built performed. And the more my clients started to see me not just as their marketer, but as someone who truly understood what they were building.

That immersion is what eventually led me to go all in and prove the system myself.

I proved it Myself

In 2022, I Didn't Just Consult on a Contracting Business. I Owned One.

After years of working inside contractor businesses and learning how they operated from the inside out, I wanted to go deeper. I wanted to prove the system, not just build it for others.

So I acquired a concrete coatings company and ran it myself. Not as an advisor sitting on the outside. As the owner with everything on the line.

I personally closed the first 40 jobs from leads we generated. I built the sales process. I established the system, put the right people in place, and grew it from there.

Within two years, the company more than doubled revenue. Then I exited.

That experience didn’t change what I believed. It confirmed it. Predictable marketing and strong systems aren’t theory. They are the actual mechanism behind contractor growth.

When I sit across from a contractor today, I’m not speaking from a whiteboard. I’m speaking from experience on both sides of the table.

What Drives The Standard

The Standard I Hold Comes From Everything I've Been Through.

My clients find me knowledgeable. Detail-oriented. Invested. Accountable.

That doesn’t come from a framework or a methodology. It comes from how I was raised. From my father’s discipline. From working alongside some of the best companies and processes in the world. From understanding that the people who trust us with their marketing have real money, real families, and real risk on the line.

It also comes from something most people don’t expect: I’ve been a competitive boxer for over a decade.

Boxing teaches you things that business school never will. It forces complete honesty with yourself. You can’t fake your way through training. You can’t cut corners on your diet, your preparation, or your discipline and expect to perform when it counts. You face the hard things head on, or you lose.

That mindset is embedded in how I work. The attention to detail. The commitment to preparation. The discipline to do the unglamorous things consistently. My clients feel it in how we operate, in how we communicate, in how we optimize, and ultimately in the results we produce.

They deserve the best. Not close to the best. The best.

That belief is built into everything we do at Nelly IS Marketing.

Today

This Is What I've Been Building Toward.

Today I work with established contractors across the United States who are ready to stop guessing and start scaling.

My team at Nelly IS Marketing builds and manages the full performance infrastructure required to generate and convert leads at scale, from paid advertising and SEO to AI search visibility, CRM automation, and performance dashboards.

My role is to architect the strategy, see what others miss, and make sure the system we build actually produces results.

I also speak to contractor founders, leadership teams, and industry events on what it actually takes to grow a contractor business with discipline and precision.

Why This Work Matters to Me

I’m a husband and a father of two boys.

I understand what’s on the line. You’re not just building a business. You’re building a future for your family, stability for your team, and something worth being proud of.

My mission is to help contractors build the business they’ve always envisioned, with the systems, the data, and the discipline to make it real.

Because when contractors grow, their teams grow. Their families grow. Their communities grow.

That’s worth getting right.

If You're Ready to Operate at a Different Level, Let's Talk.

You’ve done the hard work of building a real business. Now it’s time to build the system that grows it.
